Whilst this product depicts a previously created Memory Bear, it is an example of what yours may look like using the fabrics and materials you send in.
My memory bear is one of my most popular items and a really timeless way to treasure the clothes you can’t bear to part with.
Made from baby grows or clothes that you want to keep and treasure which hold a special memory, each bear will be a lasting reminder of those precious times and will quickly become one of your most beloved possessions.
I will lovingly handmake your bear, ensuring each bear is completely unique to you. Choose your favourite items of clothing for the type of bear you wish to order – make sure you send me enough material according to my guidelines. If the baby grows are premature or newborn size, I will need the maximum. You can leave me special instructions at the checkout so I know which are your favourite items, and I will do my best to include them how you wish.
Sizes
- Standard – approximately 30cm tall. I suggest you send 4 – 6 baby grows or 1 – 4 items of older child’s clothing.
Adult Clothing: . 2 – 3 items per animal is ideal, 5 is the maximum I would suggest.
Whilst my keepsakes can be machine washed at 40 degrees, I would recommend that they are hand washed and dried naturally. Do not tumble dry. The stuffing is 100% CE tested polyester.
As these can be delicate items, often made from very well-worn clothes, they can not be CE tested and therefore come with the following: Warning: This product is not a toy and is not intended to be played with.
My images are to display what can be achieved with your clothes. All of my bears use the same pattern, and can be made from any clothes that you send me, whether baby, child or adult.
Types of Clothing: I can work with all kinds of materials – all materials will be backed with interfacing for stability.. On the whole I can do most things, however the wider the variety of fabrics the less ‘uniform’ the finished item will look. It is better to send slightly too much than too little.
Notes: Please do tell me in a note with the clothes which are the favourites, especially if you are sending more than I have asked for, so that I can make sure they appear prominently on the finished item. Please do tell me if you want a bit of everything using. If you don’t, and I don’t need it all, then I will make a decision about what to use and will send back any uncut items. Similarly, it is really important to let me know if you are sending in certain items which are particular favourites, or if you want bits of detailing etc using in a particular way. I will always do my best to adhere to these requests, although it may not always be possible.
Quality: The most worn items of clothing are often the favourites, please be aware that the more stretched/worn/washed something is, the more delicate the finished item will be
Offcuts: I am very happy to return any unused items and off cuts if you so wish. Please just let me know your preference.
How do I send them in? Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email. It is really important to make sure you include the order reference and a senders address in the parcel
